Rivermark Northern Liberties Groundbreaking Celebrates Transformation for Philadelphia’s Delaware River Waterfront

The groundbreaking for Bernardon’s largest mixed-use project to date, Rivermark Northern Liberties, was held on December 14, 2022 where project team members Michael McCloskey, AIA, Vice President and Jaime Martin, Senior Project Director joined developers Jefferson Apartment Group and Haverford Properties, Mayor Jim Kenney, and other city officials at the ceremony. We look forward to the construction of an array of public-use features, including a large public plaza, splash pad water attraction, art installation, an extension of the Delaware River Trail, a Sprouts Farmers Market, and so much more.

“I am pleased to celebrate the construction underway on this new jewel on our city’s waterfront,” said Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney. “Rivermark Northern Liberties will be a destination for our entire city. It will enhance and activate a large section of the Delaware River Waterfront—and will welcome residents to live, shop, dine, and enjoy recreation along the river.”

Rivermark Northern Liberties is part of a series of exciting projects  to further the Delaware Waterfront Masterplan.
