New Talent Joins the Bernardon Team

Bernardon is pleased to announce two new additions to the team at their award-winning firm.

Meridyth Karr, AIA, LEED AP® of Coatesville, PA is a Registered Architect who graduated from Penn State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Architecture, and minors in both Architectural History and Italian. Previously, Mrs. Karr worked for Watkins Architect, Ltd. in Fleetwood, PA.

“In addition to holding Architectural Licensure, Meridyth is also a Certified Plans Examiner and an International Building Codes expert,” said Neil Liebman, a Principal of the firm. “This unique combination of credentials will be essential to helping Bernardon maintain our goal of 100% client satisfaction.”

As a LEED AP with specialties in Building Design + Construction, Homes, and Operations + Maintenance, Mrs. Karr formerly acted as the chair of the Berks Lancaster Branch of the USGBC Central PA Chapter. Additional volunteer work includes serving as an event coordinator for Maysie’s FarmFest 2011, 2012 and 2013, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, and as a participant in that organization’s annual ‘Dancing with the Reading Stars’ from 2013-2015.

Angel VanBennekom of Newark, DE has joined the firm as a Marketing Assistant. Ms. VanBennekom will be working directly with the firm’s Marketing Coordinator and Business Development Director to support the marketing, public relations and social media goals of the firm.

Ms. VanBennekom graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Delaware in 2014. She holds an Honors B.A. with Distinction in English, and she has provided web, video, and graphic design services throughout northern Delaware. She previously worked as a Marketing Assistant for Info Solutions LLC in New Castle, DE. She is also active in the regional theatre community, having participated in productions with the Delaware Shakespeare Festival, the Wilmington Drama League, and UD’s Resident Ensemble Players, to name a few.

Bill Holloway, another Principal of the firm, said, “Angel’s broad array of skills, including writing, social media, and graphic design, will be an invaluable addition to Bernardon’s marketing and business development staff.”
