Join Bernardon’s own Dr. Timothy J. Cassidy on a bicycle tour exploring the cultural landscapes of Philadelphia. As part of American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Annual Meeting and EXPO, Dr. Cassidy will lead a tour along the Schuylkill River Trail from Center City to Valley Forge and explore a range of topics including cultural landscape topography, the relationship between urban privatization and historic preservation, and the history and development of Fairmount Park.

Schuylkill River Heritage Area Bicycle Tour: Philadelphia Water Works to Valley Forge
Saddle up for an exciting day of cycling throughout the Schuylkill River Heritage Area! Experience unique and diverse cultural landscapes firsthand as we ride the Schuylkill River Trail from Center City to Valley Forge. Participate and learn as we interpret complex landscapes and places that have shaped our national identity.
$165 per person; includes transportation, bottled water, catered lunch, and bike/helmet rentals. Extensive bike riding and walking.
