Bernardon Transforms AVE King of Prussia into a Holiday Haven

Bernardon Transforms AVE King of Prussia into a Holiday Haven
December 6, 2019

Bernardon’s West Chester Interiors Team recently collaborated with client AVE by Korman Communities to design AVE’s luxury apartment model at AVE King of Prussia, a multifamily community designed by Bernardon and located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Interior Designers Derek Perini and Laura Ireson transformed the apartment into a cozy, inviting holiday haven — complete with hot cocoa, cookies, and a holiday tree.

Together, the team took to the custom-decorated apartment and adorned it in cheerful reds and greens, holiday-inspired décor, and a range of rustic, yet contemporary accessories. As Derek and Laura trimmed the tree, spruced up the table setting, and arranged festive accessories, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with an open concept kitchen and adjoining living room quickly filled up with holiday cheer.

In the apartment model, the kitchen table is now fit for a holiday feast with an elegant table setting. Wrapped presents beneath a holiday tree evoke a nostalgic feeling and anticipation for gift exchanges. Pops of reds and greens throughout the space keep the holiday feel consistent from the minute you walk in the door to the moment you unwind on the couch.

Why the holiday decorating? The AVE Style Holiday Edition collaboration encourages renters of small apartments to create a cozy holiday home no matter the size of their space. Derek explained that decorating an apartment model for the holidays is a departure from his normal routine, however, he also sees it as an opportunity to come together with his client and create a new collaboration that both elevates their brand and allows his team to flex their creative skills in a different way.

“Our mission as a brand is to operate first-class residential properties and exceed our residents’ expectations,” says Paul DeFruscio, Senior VP of Asset, AVE. “That service-orientation extends beyond the Resident Services desk. Renters want to know how to deck out a smaller space for the holidays, and it makes sense to provide useful tips. We wanted to collaborate with Bernardon because they understand our branding, aesthetic, attention-to-detail, and service-orientation. Derek and Laura did a beautiful job transforming our apartment model into a contemporary holiday haven.”

If you’re a designer looking for new ways to partner with your client, consider a holiday collaboration:

  • A holiday-inspired collaboration creates an opportunity that both elevates your client’s brand and also showcases your team’s talents
  • Decorating apartment models for the holidays creates a memorable experience for any prospective tenants touring the community during the holiday season
  • Holiday furnishings create storytelling opportunities. A collaboration like the AVE Holiday Edition is an opportunity for a fun, lighthearted content piece (Like this blog!)
